LaborNow Text Messaging Program

LaborNow is an on-demand local labor service in Tampa, Florida. We use text messages only to notify people about activity on their own LaborNow job request or Laborer application. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

How you opt in

You opt in by checking an unchecked text-message consent box next to your phone number on one of two forms. Without checking it, you cannot submit the form.

  • Laborers: the Become a Laborer form.
  • Customers: the request form in the chat on our home page, after signing in.

The consent text shown beside the box reads:

“Text message consent. I agree to receive SMS text messages from LaborNow at the mobile number I entered. Texts are for notifications about new job requests that match your profile (Laborers) or updates about your job request, such as when a Laborer replies in your LaborNow job messages (customers). Msg & Data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”

What we send

  • Laborers: notifications about new job requests that match your profile.
  • Customers: updates about your job request, such as when a Laborer replies in your LaborNow job messages.

Example: “LaborNow: New Plumbing job request near Tampa. View and reply at labornow.org/jobs/123. Reply STOP to opt out.”

Frequency, cost, opting out

  • Message frequency varies with the number of job requests in your area (up to about 3 per month for a new Laborer) for Laborers.
  • Message frequency varies with your activity (about 1 to 3 messages per request) for customers.
  • Msg & Data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will get one confirmation and no more texts.
  • Reply HELP for help, or email support@labornow.org.
  • Reply START to resume messages after opting out.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your phone number is never sold or shared with third parties or with other users.LaborNow relays all communication between customers and Laborers, so neither sees the other's phone number or email. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
